Welcome to the Bellevue Bike Club (BBC)
We are bicycle and cycling enthusiasts from Bellevue, Omaha Metro,
Council Bluffs, and outlying areas. While beginning in Bellevue Nebraska in 2004 as a group of cycling friends, we have grown into a large club of members spanning the entire metropolitan Omaha - Council Bluffs area. We think you'll find a place in our club whether you are a beginner or a seasoned rider and will find yourself exploring the varied trails throughout the region with like-minded cyclists. Come Join Us For A Ride!
We are interested in:
Primarily recreational biking, but also:
- Recreational cycling
- Bike touring
- Mountain biking - off-road
- Commuting to work using bikes
- Endurance cycling
- Gravel rides
- PLUS a few racers, CRIT fans and triathletes.
- Advocating for better bike trails and bicycle safety in our community
- We welcome all bikes: 2, 3, 4 wheel, recumbents, uprights, and eBikes (Limited to Class 1,2 & 3, pedal assisted)!
Our activities include:
- Weekly (no drop) social rides
- Coffee Ride - starting with Spring of 2025 we will have two trail-head starting locations to accommodate our Bellevue, La Vista, Papillion, Ralston riders and an additional start for those living in the Central, North and West Omaha areas.
- Other rides during the day and evenings
- Monthly Sunday Afternoon Ride
- Annual Ride of Silence
- Memorial Day Ride
- Labor Day Ride
- Fall Color Ride
- Veterans Day Parade
- Special Rides
- High Trestle Trail
- Papio Loop
- Gravel Ride
- Thursday Taco Rides
- Participation in multi-day rides (BRAN, TDN, RAGBRAI, CCC etc.) Club Rides (Katy Trail, Wabash Trace, High Trestle Trail)
- Networking with each other and with other groups to
encourage riding everywhere there is a bicycle!
Check the Ride Calendar for the rides that are scheduled. Most are FREE, open to all, registration may be required for head count, and are No Drop.
